Sign in, or sign up, with a link by email

Type your email address and press one button; the link signs you in, or creates your account if the address is new. No password needed.

Since 23:35 UTC, the sign-in page leads with an email field and Email me a sign-in link. The email opens a page with one Sign in button; only the button uses the link up, so a mail scanner that opens the link first does not spoil it. A link works once and for 15 minutes, and two-factor authentication is still asked when it is on.

A new address gets «Create your PingWise account» instead, with a Create my account button. The account is created without a password and the address counts as confirmed; a password can be set later under Change password.

Limits: 5 links an hour and 10 a day per address, 20 an hour per IP address. The password form is folded under Sign in with a password, the sign-up page with a password still exists, and Google, GitHub, Microsoft and passkeys are unchanged. Details in Team and sign-in.
