We count our own mistakes.

“Down means down” is a promise you can check. Every false alert a customer reports is listed here with its cause, next to the live health of every probe.

Probe health

Updated …. A quarantined probe’s votes don’t count until it passes its own checks again.

False alert log

A false alert is a page we sent for an outage that didn’t happen, reported by a customer and confirmed by us. We list the date and the root cause. No customer names or URLs.

Why only reported ones?

We can’t always know from the outside that a site we saw as down was actually up. You can. Report it from the incident page and it’s reviewed.

What counts as confirmed?

Two thirds of healthy probes, on at least three continents and three networks, failing twice in a row. Details on the home page.
