PingWise vs Hyperping
Hyperping checks from 18 regions and adds browser checks and phone alerts. PingWise checks every round from several cities at once and needs 10 of 15 probes to agree.
Which one should you pick?
Pick Hyperping if you want status pages, SMS and phone-call alerts and Playwright browser checks in one subscription, from 18 regions. It is a polished product for teams that communicate incidents to their customers, and it has features we haven’t built.
Pick PingWise if the alert itself is what you need to trust. Hyperping documents re-checking a failure from other regions but doesn’t publish the rule. Ours is public: 10 of 15 probes, on at least 3 continents and 3 providers, failing two rounds in a row, and every scheduled check runs from several cities, not only the confirmation. We also report WAF challenges as “blocked”, and every alert shows what each probe saw.
On price, the table below shows 10 monitors every minute free here and $24 on Hyperping’s Essentials plan. Team members are unlimited here, where Hyperping’s entry plan includes 3 seats. If you need neither phone calls nor browser checks, that difference adds up over a year.

Where Hyperping is the better choice
Being honest about this saves everyone time.
More regions
Hyperping lists 18 regions. We run 15 probes in 15 cities. If you need to show availability from more parts of the world, that is a real difference.
SMS and phone calls
Hyperping documents SMS and phone-call alerts. Ours follow after launch. If a ringing phone is the only alert that reliably wakes your team, Hyperping has it today and we don't.
Browser checks
Hyperping runs Playwright browser checks on paid plans: 3 on Essentials, 10 on Pro and 25 on Business. We don’t run browsers. If a login or checkout flow must be tested end to end in a real browser, Hyperping can run it.
Server monitoring agent
Hyperping offers an agent for CPU, memory, disk and network on your servers. We only check from the outside. If you want CPU, memory and disk alerts in the same place as uptime, Hyperping has them, though alerts on the agent are a paid feature.
What PingWise does differently
- Every scheduled check runs from several cities at once, not from one place with a retry.
- The moment one probe sees a failure, every healthy probe checks again, free, before anyone is paged.
- Nothing pages you until two thirds of our 15 probes (10) fail, on at least 3 continents and 3 different providers, two rounds in a row.
- A WAF or Cloudflare challenge is reported as “blocked”, never as down.
- Every alert says what each probe saw: resolved IP, status code, timing and error.
- Prepaid credits, no subscription: 650,000 free every month, packs from €5, bought credits last 24 months.
