Uptime monitoring for every zone in your Cloudflare account

Connect Cloudflare once. PingWise lists your zones, creates a monitor for each one you tick, verifies the domains for you, and keeps a skip rule in your firewall so our checks are never challenged.

650,000 free checks a month for the month you join and the three after it, then 200,000. No card, no seats, no subscription.

How it works

Connect Cloudflare in three steps.

01 · connect

Connect your account

In PingWise, open Integrations → Cloudflare. Sign in at Cloudflare and approve access to IP lists, firewall rules and your zone list, or paste an API token you made yourself. Listing zones needs only Zone · Read; the firewall rule needs edit rights on the zones you choose.

02 · tick

Tick the zones

Click Create monitors. You get every zone the connection can see, with the ones already monitored unticked. Paused zones, zones whose name servers haven’t moved yet, and zones with no address at the apex are listed with the reason, not silently skipped.

03 · create

Preview, then create

The usual import preview: one HTTPS monitor per zone, plus www where it resolves, in a “Cloudflare · your account” group or one you choose, at the interval you pick. The monthly credits and the outlook are shown before anything is created.

What you get

What the connection does for you.

Verified without a DNS record

Zones in a connected account are verified as your domains in one click. No TXT record, no file. Verified domains get the custom requests: other ports, custom methods and bodies, basic auth and secret headers.

Never challenged, never “down” by mistake

PingWise keeps an IP list of its probes in your account and one skip rule above your custom rules, in the zones you choose. When our probe list changes, yours changes. If a challenge does slip through, the check is reported as blocked, never as down.

One run, not a sync

Creating monitors reads your zones at that moment. Zones you add later need another run; nothing is created behind your back.

Apex and www, looked up publicly

We check for A, AAAA or CNAME records through public resolvers, so the token needs no DNS permission.

Confirmed before you’re paged

Every new monitor gets the same rule as every other: down only when 14 of 20 probes agree, from at least three continents and three networks, two rounds in a row.

Per check, not per zone

No per-site price. One HTTPS monitor every 5 minutes is about 8,600 credits a month; 200 zones every 5 minutes fit in about 1.7 million, €8.60 a month at €5 per million.

Price

Per check, not per site or per seat.

One credit is one scheduled check of one monitor; confirmation rounds are free. Every account gets 650,000 credits a month free for the month it joins and the three after it, enough for about 75 sites every 5 minutes, then 200,000 a month. Above that, €5 per million checks, as prepaid packs or a monthly top-up from €5.

Cloudflare monitoring: common questions

What does PingWise change in my Cloudflare account?

Only what you turn on: an IP list named pingwise_probes and one skip rule in the zones you pick for the firewall feature. Creating monitors changes nothing in Cloudflare; it only reads the zone list. Disconnecting removes the list and the rule.

Do I need to give edit access?

Not for monitors or verification; Zone · Read is enough to list your zones. The firewall list and rule need Account Filter Lists · Edit and Zone WAF · Edit on those zones.

A zone was skipped. Why?

The page says why next to it: the zone is paused on Cloudflare, its name servers haven’t switched yet, or there’s no A, AAAA or CNAME record at the apex. Fix it on Cloudflare and run Create monitors again.

My customer’s zone is in a different Cloudflare account.

Connect that account too, or verify the domain by TXT record or file. Zones owned by an account you haven’t connected stay unverified until then.

Does this keep adding monitors as I add zones?

No. Run Create monitors again when you want the new zones. An “ask first” sync may come later.

Which other panels and providers do you support?

cPanel/WHM, Enhance and Plesk. For anything else, the API or a CSV import.

Is PingWise affiliated with Cloudflare?
