Since 09:26 UTC, a down monitor is confirmed up on a single confirmation round when every healthy probe asked answers up, on every audience continent, with no failure and no block. Until now recovery always took two rounds 20 seconds apart, so on a 10-second monitor the «up» alert left about 57 seconds after the site answered again. Now it leaves in about 15 to 25 seconds.
The rule for going down is unchanged: two rounds, two thirds of the healthy probes, three continents, three providers. Recovery only gets the shortcut when the answer is unanimous; a round with any failure or block still waits for a second one. Details in How a check works.
