Since 15:17 UTC the status badge takes ?style=plain: no box, regular weight and a quieter grey, on a transparent background, so it reads like a line of text in a footer or a sidebar. It works with theme=light or dark and size=sm, and the Badge tab of a status page previews it. The other styles, pill and flat, are unchanged. All parameters are in Badges, JSON and embedding.
