Intervals
A monitor can be checked every 10 s, 15 s, 30 s, 1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min or 1 hour. Which of these you can pick depends on the target:
| Target | Fastest interval |
|---|---|
| A host on an unverified domain | 1 minute |
| A host on a verified domain | 15 seconds |
| A verified domain, on an account that has bought credits | 10 seconds |
| Ping, account without a purchase | 5 minutes |
| Ping, after a purchase | 1 minute |
"Bought credits" means the account has at least one purchase that was not refunded or disputed. Across all accounts, one host is checked at most 12 times a minute; if several accounts monitor the same host, the fastest intervals may not be available for it.
Credits
One credit is one scheduled round of checks. A round uses several probes, but it is one credit regardless. Confirmation rounds, the extra checks that run when a probe sees a failure, are free, and so is reading anything in the panel.
The panel shows every monitor's cost per month as 2,592,000 ÷ interval in seconds, that is a 30-day month:
| Interval | Credits a month |
|---|---|
| 10 s | 259,200 |
| 15 s | 172,800 |
| 30 s | 86,400 |
| 1 min | 43,200 |
| 5 min | 8,640 |
| 15 min | 2,880 |
| 1 hour | 720 |
A paused monitor costs nothing. Heartbeat monitors use one credit per expected check-in, the same as a scheduled check at that interval: a job that must call in every 5 minutes costs 8,640 credits a month.
Free credits and packs
Every account gets 650,000 credits a month free, which covers, for example, 15 monitors at one minute, or 75 at five. They are not carried over. When the month's free credits are used, checks draw from credits you have bought; those are used after the free ones and last two years. The packs are listed on the pricing section: from €5 for 250,000 credits to €560 for 250 million, and the price per credit falls as the pack grows. You can also buy from the API or the panel's Credits page, and the panel warns your alert channels when credits run low.
When an account runs out, you get an email and seven days of grace with checks still running, a reminder two days before the end, and then monitoring pauses until the balance is positive again. Nothing is deleted. A "running low" email goes out when about seven days of credits are left.
Check now
The Check now button on a monitor runs one extra round on every healthy probe and costs one credit, unless a confirmation is already running, in which case it joins it for free. It is limited to once a minute per monitor and 30 an hour per account, and it is not available for heartbeats, paused monitors or monitors in a maintenance window.
